3 Top Life Insurance Companies in Massachusetts
You wouldn’t trust just anybody with your life, so you shouldn’t trust just anyone with your life insurance.
After all, life insurance is an important financial security blanket for your family. If anything were to ever happen to you, life insurance would provide funding to your family for things such as funeral costs, debt payments, continuation of the policyholder’s income, college savings for children, and other final expenses.
It’s obviously a very important coverage. So you want to work with a reputable life insurance company that will allow you to be confident you’re getting the coverage you deserve.
That’s where we come in. At Berry Insurance, we offer life insurance to many of our clients, so we know which carriers out there offer great products and services, and which aren’t the best.
In this article, we’ll go over three of our favorite life insurance carriers in no particular order.
1. Banner Life
A subsidiary of Legal & General America, Banner Life Insurance has been providing Americans with life insurance for more than 70 years and is the 7th largest insurer in the world.
On their website they say “our mission has been consistent through decades of issuing and protecting families and businesses with life insurance. Today we leverage enhanced digital technology to drive our processes and implement socially responsible business practices that allow us to give back to our community and minimize our impact on the environment.”
Banner Life offers both term and permanent life insurance policies at an affordable price. They also offer flexible payment plans with options including annual, semi-annual, quarterly and monthly payments.
Online reviewers of Banner say they have quick, easy, and friendly customer service.
We love that their website answers life insurance FAQs and provides articles to help people understand life insurance and figure out what kind of policy is right for them.
2. Principal
Founded in 1978, insurance company Principal is a member of the FORTUNE 500® and a global investment management leader.
Principal offers comprehensive term and permanent life insurance policies to thousands of people.
On their website they say, “We’re bound by one common purpose: to give you the financial tools, resources and information you need to live your best life.”
And they do just that.
Their website is stocked with informational videos, articles, and resources. It also offers forms so clients can easily make changes such as customer service requests, ownership changes, beneficiary changes, electronic funds transfer, or authorizations for release of information.
3. AIG
The oldest company on our list, AIG has been helping families guard their financial futures for nearly 100 years, according to their website.
AIG offers a variety of types of life insurance policies to millions of people around the world.
Their online reviews tout their informative and friendly customer service.
Like the other great life insurance companies we outlined, AIG’s website also clearly answers several commonly asked life insurance questions in detail from how it works, what type to get, how to buy it, how much it costs, and much more.
We also love AIG’s efforts to service. AIG partners with the Life Lessons Scholarship Program which offers scholarships to students who were financially impacted after losing a parent or loved one.
